GROUP RESPONSIBILITY
Based on Romans 12
The S.S. groups themselves ought to be fully self-supporting by the voluntary contributions and fund raising efforts of their own members. Visitors and newcomers are asked to not contribute until the feel they have benefited from the meeting. SS groups need to be self-funded, self-directed, self-replicating and self-controlled. We think that each group should soon achieve this ideal; but that contributions carrying any obligation whatever, is unwise. Then, too, we view with much concern those S.S. treasuries which continue, beyond prudent reserves, to accumulate funds for no stated S.S. purpose. Experience has often warned us that nothing can so surely destroy our spiritual heritage as futile disputes over property, money, and authority.
The money donated will be used according to group conscious to pay for books, literature, rent, coffee, 12 step work or any other related group purpose. Also, remember that whether we give time, talent or money, God loves a cheerful giver.
Books can purchased or earned by attending meetings and/or doing community service work. Talk to literature person________________for details.
