Step Twelve reads ” Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.” Community Sercice is just one of many ways we try to carry the message to others. Community Service includes doing outreach Recovery Bible Studies in jails and prisons, reaching out toneedy families by distributing Zoo and Lights of Christmas tickets and helping others in any way we can to show the love of Christ and promote Peace with God, Self and Others. Serenity Seekers is unique with it’s Adopt-A-Family.
Serenity Seekers has been working with a family in the area as well. They got connected with this family when they met the Dad and Husband in their Serenity Seeker group at Snohomish County Jail. Grandpa John is filling in for the family while their husband and father is behind bars. Serenity Seekers worked with Northshore and Local Businesses (Loews Hardware and Haight Carpet) to get a carpet pad and carpet for their home. The Mother homeschools the four children (two sets of twins) while working to support the family as well. Serenity Seekers leadership went into the home helped re carpet, paint and do some remodels that were too overwhelming for the family to do on their own. They are continuing to work with this family and invest in the lives of Grandpa John and the four children Christal, Gregory, Bethany and Amilia. Through this investment they are giving the mother some much needed quiet time and rest. Please be in prayer for this family and for the ministry of Serenity Seekers and they walk through life transformation with this family.
